SUPERDROP
Superdrop has a very interesting story.
I co-wrote it with Matthew Good. Matt had been my neighbor and would call me
in the middle of the night to hear new songs he'd written. Through that he
got me to sing on Everything is Automatic and Rico on his Underdogs cd and
Born To Kill and Hello Time Bomb on his Beautiful Midnight cd.
I went on tour doing an acoustic set opening for the Matthew Good Band. We
became fast friends. I was also tight with the rest of the band. Great
buncha guys.
Matt wrote me into a crazy short story of his in his book-

Completely fictional by the way.
Anyway, as it happens i went into sing on the Beautiful Midnight cd and Matt
and I wrote Superdrop very quickly that day. We really should have written
more but our schedules were impossible to syncronize.
I eventually found myself in Toronto demoing Superdrop, Ariana Incomplete
and another song, The Damage Done with Jeff Martin and Jeff Burroughs of the
Tea Party.
When it came time to finally mix the Static In Stereo cd Jeff Martin was
brought in to do so.
You can hear Jeff singing with me in the choruses of Superdrop.
Kind of a Canadian meeting of the minds-Matt Good, Tea Party and SIS.
I can't be what you want from me
I’m out of it
My exorcism incomplete
The worst has got the best of me
I’ve forgotten who I used to be
Now I’m a scary monster/super freak
This always wears me out
This always wears us out
This always wears me out
I always wear us out.
I’ve lost the grace to accept defeat
I swallowed it
Who pulled this rug from under me?
I’ve lost the will to find a way
I’ve forgotten who I’m supposed to be
Now I’m a scary monster/super freak
